ACME IS NASTY‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
Here’s a timeline.
1. Jan 21- I asked for deli provolone cheese thin sliced under 10 slices. It was on sale for $9.99lb. Somehow the black lady heard or decided to give me, Dietz & Watson Picante Provolone cheese $12.99 a pound (I didn’t ask for it- never heard of that kind of provolone) I didn’t realize it until I got home that it looked furry, smell funny, different. So I googled it and it’s apparently goat/lamb cheese or something other than calf. Okay so no big deal, I was thinking just return it and they’ll just throw it away like most grocery stores do bc it left the store. It’s unsanitary and unsafe to return!
2. Jan 23- Earlier this day- I knew I had to run some errands so I took the cheese with me to Longhorn in Bear, DE, it sat in the car the entire time and I stayed for at least 2 hours dining. This is important so stay with me!!!
So last errand is- I returned the D&W Picante Provolone Cheese at customer service. The young man asked me did I have the receipt. I said no but it says “Acme” and since a snow storm is coming I will be back anyway. He asked the reason for the return. I told the cashier it’s the wrong cheese and that I googled it and it’s some kind i never heard of and smelled different than I usually get. So just give me a gift card for the $6.69, please. The return was no problem!!! But here’s the thing…
3. Jan 24- 3 days later, I go back to Acme to finish up some last minute stuff like eggs and bread. I go near the bakery/bread/deli section and I saw a lonely bag of cheese. I took a picture to compare my return receipt. So I said to myself I really hope it’s not that cheese I returned bc someone will get sick it wasn’t refrigerated properly!!!
(3 hours Longhorn, errands and the travel time to Bear)
I assumed Acme would throw it away after the product leaves the store and in someone else’s home. To that point-you don’t know what people do to food once it leaves the store!!!
So after I leave the store-
I go home and look Acme took cheese I bought on Wednesday, returned on Friday night and on Saturday it was placed to be sold AGAIN after sitting out for at least 3 hours in a car, at someone’s home and it went through multiple hands even my nose bc remember I smelled that cheese…disgusting‼️🤮
Now if you’re wondering why I didn’t report this it’s bc I have told management in the past about an expired big box of taco seasoning (year old) and management apologized for the inconvenience and said they would remove it off the shelves. No big deal. But the next time I went back to get taco seasoning that box of seasoning packs were still sitting there on the same shelf, plus there is I think 2 other reviews that say something about their expired products. They clearly don’t change NOTHING and maybe management encourages it-helps inventory I suppose‼️
So I just look at the expiration date on products. Now I’m done with deli and produce. Acme is unsafe!!! I added some pictures- look at the screenshot photo that says today and my return receipt and date on the package -smh! They nasty 🚨 ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
