- DDDeniseSep 23, 20251.0I do not visit this store often and made a mistake visiting it today. I had 8 items, put everything into the hand-held basket and went to the express line to check out. There was no one in line. The cashier was more interested in speaking with her coworker about her husband's retirement than speaking to me- the customer. I sat my basket on the conveyor belt and waited. She finally looked at me and told me to empty my basket, then went back to her conversation with her coworker. (I know that they are planning to travel and that he is getting a RV for retirement.) After I removed my 8 items from the basket, (because she could not be bothered to do her job), I laid them on the conveyor belt, took the basket back to its holder by the front door, and scanned my credit card all while they are still talking amongst themselves. She spoke to me once more to tell me the total as I grabbed my bags since I had already processed my card. She handed me my receipt, I took it and left. This experience was so rude, unprofessional and an eye opener to the society of this area that I unfortunately moved into. From now on, I will either shop at a different location, or better yet, shop at a different grocery store altogether. Walmart is just down the road and Harris Teeter is not that far away. BTW they were still talking as I left. Me being there was just a nuisance to their conversation.
