The recent renovations look great, the grocery prices are reasonable, and the staff have always been helpful and friendly. I’ve also used the online grocery pickup service for about six years, and the team consistently does a great job selecting items and providing a positive experience. The only real drawback has nothing to do with the store itself, but with enforcement. Too often, entitled people park in the grocery pickup spaces and then leave their cars to go shop. It’s frustrating and unnecessary, especially for customers who are actually using the pickup service. I really wish there were a way to better enforce these spaces so they’re available for their intended purpose.

When I went into the order to do a quick update, the promo disappeared and I was unable to reenter it. Solution was to call customer service for Giant. Of course they are not available on Sunday, so I will have to call tomorrow. #2 I had to enter the store for the pickup. They were understaffed and my order was not ready. They had to "find" it in the back, where it was waiting. #3 An item was noted as not in stock. I found many of the same item right on the shelf where they were supposed to be. Pretty unhappy with the order online for pickup process at Giant. Did not save me time or money.

For example - Bear Creek Soup Mix is only $3.99 at Food Lion, but Giant charges a whopping $7.19 FOR THE SAME ITEM! See the photos I took as proof. Both grocery chains are owned by the same parent company - Ahold Delhaize. So why are customers in Columbia being charged so much more on items like this? This isn't the first time I've seen this. Time to stop shopping at this store! It's a shame that I no longer can shop at my own neighborhood grocery store without facing rip-off prices like this!
