I have given this McDonald's two tries, and both times the experience was horrible. Evert, the Manager, is not just rude and unprofessional, but he definitely does not like or care for black people!
Stopped in [again] this morning for breakfast. As I stepped in, there were about 9 people waiting. One was an elderly woman needing assistance with placing her order. As I approached, she advised she had been standing there 20min trying to get someone to help her. Watching one of the employees continue to hand out other orders, and ignoring the elderly woman, I asked if someone could assist us. I was ignored. I, then, stopped the employee and asked if someone could take our order. The employee rudely told us to order at the kiosk. I explained my order (#3 Bacon egg and cheese meal - add sausage) couldnt be customized at the kiosk, and needed to be ordered at the register. The employee rolled her eyes, started talking to Evert in Spanish, and kept putting orders on the counter, calling numbers, and immediately walking away. Every ignored EVERYONE waiting trying to get anyone's attention; ALL BLACK PEOPLE! He ended up walking into the dining room, and I attempted to get his attention to which he very clearly told me "Get out my face. I'm busy." Everyone was appalled. He went outside, came back in, and I attempted to show him I couldnt place the order I wanted on the kiosk. He walked passed me and said "You people are slow. You dont know how to press buttons?", and continued to the kitchen. More people entered. At this point the lobby has well over 15 of us standing there. Some were trying to find out about their order. Some were trying to get incorrect orders/items corrected. And, the rest of us were simply trying to order. Someone who appeared to be Hispanic approached the counter, and was IMMEDIATELY addressed, conversed with, and assisted... got their order taken... and within a few minutes had their food and wss on their way. As you can imagine, people started going off. Evert, yelled towards us in Spanish waving his hands as if to tell us we could simply get out. Eventually, the employee came over to finally assist the elderly woman. Then, she assisted me with my order. Once I placed my order, she saw and realized I couldnt order it on th3 kiosk or the app, and she apologized. She went on to tell me Evert yells and curses at them, he refuses to schedule or hire more people, and they are left running shifts short all the time. She felt so bad she did throw in an apple pie. Evert however continued to refuse to speak to ANYONE trying to get his attention.
My first experience here was very similar, but this visit was far worse... to the point people started recording them trying to speak to him and him ignoring us all.
Baddah... bah... bah... bahhh... I ain't lovin it!
