    Ordered online for the first time. 8 items. $50. Delivered a little late - no big deal. Missing half the items. No word from driver about missing items. Went to my online account to see the order and make sure I didn’t mess up. Online website had no available order to see , no receipt to see - blank. I called the number for this location and eventually got to someone. I explained situation and she could see the items I ordered. So now I know I didn’t mess up. Service rep said she can’t see an invoice either - but we went through the list of items that I did receive. Then she explains that she wants to make sure I get billed for the items I did receive. There was no concern for me as a customer of the items I didn’t receive or how I would get them. I explained this is the opposite of what I expected when I called. Frustrated- I requested that they send the driver back and pick up the items that were delivered. She said they can’t do that because it’s a third party driver - which doesn’t make sense - A driver is a driver. So after 20 minutes on the phone - giant was very concerned about making sure I get billed for the items I did receive and not any concern about customer service or customer satisfaction. On flip side, we usually order from Harris Teeter, they’re really good about delivery, and letting customers know about out of stock items, receipts, etc. One time they forgot half the order on the truck, but refunded us for the items not delivered, then came back later and delivered the missing items free of charge and apologized. BTW - no apology from the giant. Also - I kept the conversation civil and said “have a good evening” to the rep in the end.

    Normally I have no complaints about this Giant, the staff are friendly, good selection, overall clean, generally a positive shopping experience. However, tonight I had a very upsetting experience. My 5 year old son and I were checking out in the second to last lane, and we were helped by a girl with green hair (I believe Madison, but I might be wrong). While I could get past the MULTIPLE comments complaining about her job and she hopes to never have to work there again, her final comment as I was paying took the cake. My son was playing as I bagged my groceries, slightly leaning from the cart handle,and slightly slouching over to his side. She looks at him and makes a comment along the lines of , "look he's doing the fent." I asked her to repeat herself and she says it again but giving extra detail this time saying, "looks like he's doing the fent, like when people who get high and slouch over on fent (fentanyl)." Shocked at this comment about my kid,I finished bagging my groceries and left. Soon after I tried to call the store to speak with a manager but there is no store manager on in the evenings so was told call back in the morning. I plan to file a formal complaint tomorrow with the manager, but felt this experience warranted a public post. If I see her again, I will steer clear at all costs.

    *Do not get a custom made cake done here for special events!!! When I came in to pick up the cake I noticed the sloppy writing on the cake, I asked them to fix it and she claimed she had to make a whole entire brand new cake. Even though I knew she could scrape the words and do it again. So, I had no choice but to try and fix it myself with some edible black writing gel that I also had to buy from giant aswell.
