The room, on the other hand, is an overlit orange warehouse. If they turned down the wattage of the overhead lights they would increase the atmosphere 100%. But I would kill to have Indian food this fine available to me locally. We were visiting from out-of-town, and we wished we could move this restaurant nearer us (with something less than overhead laboratory lighting).

The food, my God, the food is so good! It’s like eating a warm hug 😂 Amazing flavors and the menu is so full there’s always something new to try! Plus, the dining area is well lit and it’s always clean. Here’s a story about how amazing this restaurant truly is! I celebrate my birthday at the beginning of the month, and my cousin, who lives out of state, wanted to surprise me by treating me to dinner for the night. So of course I chose It’s Marsala Time because I was in the mood for Indian Cuisine and I didn’t want to drive far from Chestertown to enjoy it. Well my cousin looked up their number and we called my takeout order in over the phone. When I arrived to pick up my order, I discovered that we accidentally called their Elkton, MD, location, which is 40+ mins away. The staff were so accommodating! They called the Elkton location, verified the order, transferred the sale to the Chestertown location, started preparing my order here and even gave me a Mango Lassi drink as a birthday present while I waited! Talk about customer service! If you haven’t tried them out, give them a try! My favorite meal is the vegetable samosas with the vegetable fried rice and chicken tikka marsala both with medium heat. The flavors are so good!!!

This place is extra spicy so this time I ordered mild and it was even hotter. I don’t think they realize that not everybody loves it burning hot! This was definitely a nine out of 10 on the heat scale and I would like a four or five maybe. Just be careful when ordering.
