  Hopefully the young white male manager hasn't quit. Went in today and he wasn't there and it was a dirty hot mess.

  On St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 2026 at 5:00 pm, I approached the deli to buy corned beef and pastrami. I waited for the woman to finish serving another customer. She looked at me, walked toward me shaking her head sis to side and saying "no". I looked at her and responded "I'm sorry what?" She stated that she was closed. I chuckled thinking she was joking. I said that I would like a pound of corned beef and a pound if pastrami. She shook head head back and forth, and her finger as well and said that the deli is closed. I couldn't believe it!!! On St. Patrick's Day when it's a CORNED BEEF and cabbage and potatoes 🥔 day??? When EVERYONE IS IRISH ☘️☘️☘️ I asked why and she said because she is by herself. I approached the Manager and she stated that people have been asking her if she could do something because they all wanted corned beef too. She asked another manager named Drew who stated that he is sorry but the Deli is xlosed. On a BUSY HOLIDAY, maybe one if the Managers should spoon out the salads in the deli so the woman could slice the meats for customers instead of telling patrons that they can't get deli meats because she is by herself. She was serving salads from the other case

  Love this Safeway. Love the staff of long-time regulars, the selection, the floral dept, the seafood dept and the bakery. What I don't love are the new security barriers that they put up in the store. They look like a prison. I have noticed that more and more items have been going into the locked shelves at the front, so I'm guessing they've been dealing with inventory loss/shoplifting, which is unfortunate and something they've got to deal with. But the heavy-handed barricades ruin the welcoming feel of the store. I'll be shopping elsewhere, at least until they find a new way to increase protection without alienating costumers.

  The store itself is great. However, there is one employee that makes so that I will not be returning to this location. White lady, middle aged with a perm, I believe she is a manager. On three separate occasions she has made rude, unnecessary, and unprofessional remarks when I ask simple questions or simply try to check out. I understand that working customer service is taxing but that does not absolve you from simple decency. This woman has never met an inside thought that didn’t leave her mouth. Very disappointed in her and management as a whole as this is a convenient, clean Safeway location, but I do NOT take disrespect lightly.
