    I recently dined at Carrabba's in Bowie, MD, and I have to say, the food was absolutely delicious, atmosphere warm, friendly and inviting. What really made our visit special was the impeccable service our group received from our server for the evening, Justin Smith. From the moment we arrived, he greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel welcome. Justin was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring our drinks were always filled and checking in on us at just the right times. He was knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations that enhanced our dining experience. His genuine enthusiasm for the food and his commitment to excellent service truly stood out. Overall, Justin made our visit memorable, and I can't wait to return to Carrabba's, knowing we'll be in such good hands. Thank you, Justin, for making our evening so enjoyable!

    We had an impromptu lunch gathering and we picked Carrabba’s as the place to meet. A part of 5. We called ahead and got in the list. When we arrived we were seated immediately- we even got to pick our location and selected a 6-top instead of a booth. (Three in a booth bench is a little closer than comfortable. ) We immediately were offered menus and drinks. Nice. Our server, MISSY, was awesome and super friendly. She did a great job at reading the room - noticed the personality of our group and was very happy to chat for a second. No hurrying- we appreciated this. The food was delicious. Some in our group ordered Caesar salad salads as an entrée and then there was one chicken Parmesan and a chicken piccata with a shrimp dish to round out the group. The order came quickly and was very accurate. All the usual accoutrements were offered, and Missy checked in on us several times to make sure we were OK. We even were offered dessert and happily accepted. We weren’t hurried as we sat and finished our coffee and it was a wonderful lunch meeting. Thank you so much for taking care of us.

    I came here with my family expecting a decent meal, but what we experienced was extremely disappointing. From the moment we sat down, the service was painfully slow and completely unprofessional. We waited about 10 minutes just to be acknowledged by our server, Michael, and then an additional 20 minutes just to receive drinks. Twenty minutes for drinks is unacceptable. By that point, we were so frustrated that we placed our food order, only for the food to arrive before our drinks. We were left parched the entire time and never even received the refill we requested. We also attempted to order alcohol, but the wait was so long that we eventually had to cancel it. It was clear that our server was inexperienced, and while I tried to be understanding, there is simply no excuse for delays like this for basic service. To make matters worse, Michael didn’t even bring our drinks himself, despite not appearing busy. Unfortunately, the issues didn’t stop there. Another employee, a young woman with red hair, was incredibly rude and careless. She nearly spilled water all over my wife’s clothing and didn’t bring napkins to clean up the soaked table. I asked her for plates for the bread, and she never returned. When I later tried to get her attention, assuming she had forgotten, she looked directly at me while talking to a coworker and then walked away. The level of disrespect was shocking. Overall, the service was disorganized, dismissive, and unacceptable. We waited far too long for everything, and Michael didn’t seem to care. What made it even worse was when we asked for a manager, no one ever came over to acknowledge or apologize for the experience. Instead, they were simply sitting and talking among themselves. It was shameful. I am beyond frustrated and will definitely not be returning.

    I took my stepmom and dad out for dinner tonight, to one of the Carrabas wine dinners. Family members typically attend these events (not me) and are pleased, so I thought it would be a great Christmas gift. The food was delicious, but service was a huge disappointment. My dad actually said “it’s like we’re invisible here” and I couldn’t agree more. Service was slow, not unusual or shocking for these sort of things (3hrs total), but there was an issue with every course. Everyone else got served but us, or something was missing. One of us would have their dish but not the others, and food would get cold while waiting, or we would have food without the wine. And we got served damn near last every course. It was awful! They even forgot my cheesecake - entirely. It was sitting on the counter and when we called a waitress over, it continued to sit - not sure what happened there. I’m telling you, every course and every one of us had issues. It was continuous disappointment as servers would walk by us with food. We asked to speak with a manager at the close of dinner and when she came to our table she had no idea what the problem was. This doesn’t surprise me and reaffirmed that there was a complete lack of attention. I would have expected that she have some insight before walking over, but no one even told her about the cheesecake, let alone the rest of the issues. While nice, she clearly fell short in experience. I think she did actually say she was new. I had already paid the bill and we were ready to walk out before she even came over. She ended up discounting our check, but I have to say that this was some of the worst service I’ve experienced in years of eating out. As someone who worked in the restaurant and hospitality industry for 13+ years, in management myself, and as someone who NEVER complains, I was annoyed enough with this establishment to never visit again. The MC was good, but the wait staff was just inattentive. Our bill would have been higher had wait staff asked if we needed anything or wanted to take food home, but we were not attended to and repeatedly overlooked.

    I would give 0 stars if I could. I do not recommend this establishment. Service was extremely disappointing from start to finish. Our server did not come to the table for approximately 5-10 minutes when we were seated, he had to apologize when he came over. I ordered a martini, but our food arrived before the drink (had steak with a meal too mind you) over 25 minutes without receiving it, I had to cancel it because I was gonna be done with my food before it was brought to me. Throughout the meal, our server, Justin , never checked on our table for refills or follow-ups. It was not busy at all. We had to flag down the food runner just to get drinks, which still took over 10 minutes to arrive. Despite canceling the martini, it was not initially removed from the bill. When the check was brought back, there was no total listed. The card was then ran for $121, thank goodness I caught it, even though the original bill was $100 without the $12 drink removed. When I pointed out the error, Justin insisted the charge was correct before eventually taking the card back and charging the right amount. We then had to flag down a manager but had to approach them ourselves. They were able to provide a voided receipt, as my bank account reflected both charges and no refund. We were told Justin threw away the receipt, how can you not provide a customer a refund receipt or reprint it? So it’s still showing a charge for $121 & now $87. But they were rude about it. There is no call for this. He looked brand new & acted like it, but we overheard him telling someone about a meal they got last time, so he is not new. The food was the only positive part of this experience. Unfortunately, the service and management were unacceptable. I have never had issues at Carrabba’s before, but this location was a major disappointment. I will not be returning. Stay clear, you’ll be better off.
