We had a mishap with the wrong type of chicken being prepared, however, Natasha, the manager, and Eric from the deli, were able to get right on it and fixed the problem. I can’t thank them enough for their level of professionalism and amazing customer service in providing us with what we needed. You can’t go wrong with coming to this Safeway.

My cashier was Natasha. She helped me with my coinstar transaction and she was very polite and professional. Thanks for the good experience.

On 11/01/2025 around 6:15 PM I went to this Safeway, which I have been shopping at for years, to get a rotisserie chicken which they were out of. I made my rounds to the meat department looking to find a reasonably priced chicken to bake, and did not find one. With my cart that was very visibly empty, I began exiting the store, mind you there is no place in doors to leave your cart, you have to take it outside. The cart locked and alarms went off. A woman with dark hair in a ponytail with glasses came up to me and told me should would take my cart and that it would not move due to a security measure which she obviously initiated because other people were leaving the store as well. After seeing that my cart was empty, she did not apologize for her mistake. DO NOT shop here if you are a person of color, you will be profiled. Mistakes happen, but not owning up to it, especially when I have been shopping here for almost 8 years is inexcusable, never mind the attempt at public humiliation. This store will no longer be getting my business, there are plenty of other stores in the area that sell fresher products and treat me like not only a valued paying customer, but a human being.

Over the past 55 years I have shopped at thousands of different grocery stores in numerous states. Today I had the worst customer service experience in a long time at this store. It seems like every time I go I say it will be my last because of their high prices. I only go sometimes because it’s the closest to my house, so I had enough points to get a free item. I clipped it along with 5 other items on the app. I picked out what looked like the picture of the item, but when I checked out, I got the extra discount on the 5 items, but not the free item. I went to the always unmanned customer service desk and was standing there when a male employee asked if I needed to return something? When I told him I needed to get my free item, he pointed to a register and said only that cashier could handle it because the store manager wasn’t there. That cashier saw me and another customer standing there, but kept checking out customers in line, although there was another lane open. After 15 minutes, the very nice cashier who had checked me out (Kalliopi) walked over to see what I needed and resolved the problem. Once she had me back at her register, the other one finally walked to the customer service desk. No apology, nothing. There is no excuse being ignored that long, so this will be my last time at this Safeway! Kalliopi, however, deserves 5 Stars for coming to help, even though it wasn’t her job.
