- CBCourtney BoundsJan 30, 20262.0The pizza was fine, my teenager loves Pizza Hut. We ordered online and received a call that they were out of stuffed crust pizza. No problem, we settled for hand tossed pizza. I didn't get a refund for the price difference and didn't really care. When I got there to get the order, the whole parking lot was covered in ice. It was a very dangerous situation to get from the car to the door of the building to get the order. Once inside, I noticed there were two employees working. One employee was making pizzas and the other was putting an order together for a customer. About 5 minutes or so into my wait, the employee making pizza said hello and that they would be with me soon. They put the pizzas in the pizza oven and began making another order. The employee putting the order together went to the back and started doing dishes. A second customer entered the building and began waiting with me. The employee making pizza finally came over to the counter to help me about 15-20 mins after I entered the store. As a previous restaurant manager, I understand being short staffed, needing to make orders, wash dishes, etc. However, greeting customers as soon as they enter the building goes a long ways. Asking how they can help before going to the back to wash dishes makes more sense because you get customers out of your hair much faster and end up with happy reviews. My overall suggestions would be to have someone scrape your parking lot and side walk before a customer falls and you end up in court and hire a few more staff so two people aren't having to do it all.
