A wonderful thing happened when I was standing in lime trying to make a decision to leave behind an item which would have pushed me over my shopping limit: The woman behind me offered (no, insisted) on paying for the ricotta cheese I was about to leave behind. I thanked her for her generosity and explained that I was headed home to cook lasagna for 3 other families besides my own. She responded, "You can't make [good] lasagna without the ricotta!"

She was rushing us while we clearly had a cart full of groceries, maybe if you had more than one lane open for check out then everyone wouldn’t have to go to self-check out. She then proceeds to ask us five times if scanned our potatoes…well you were watching us the entire time so you should know that we scanned each item. Instead of worrying about potatoes she should open a register and do some work.
