  I went on 12/27 @ 5:30p-7p. Great: It's a smaller more intimate hall, plenty of free parking, cute staff, full bar inside, Next Phaze Cafe staff took time to explain what was available, one of the vendors was giving away a free bag of cotton candy and popcorn, Krazy Sweet Dezzerts had Strawberry Cheesecake pudding, Dream Street Cuisine had the most costumers in line after the the bar which had about 14 People sitting there, it sat 20 comfortably, l forgot my small order of yams at next phaze & the staff found me three stores down and made sure she brought me the forgotten container, the 1 hand sanitizer on the wall by the entrance had sanitizer in it and there was soap in the bathroom, the parking lot is fenced in, so I did not feel unsafe.👍🏾I realized the staff at Krazy Sweet Deserts did not put pie in my bag and had to go back; she was very "sweet" & replaced the cake with the pie slice l wanted. There was a party with about 10 kids, but they seemed to be well. Behaved and not running around. Not So great: THE DJ WAS WAAAY TOO LOUD!, not the best place to take Mom pr Dad, Next Phaze offered "Turkey Wings" but gave me exactly 1 wing (false advertisement), they were out of ribs by 530p on a Saturday, the signs for restrooms aren't visible; bartender wasn't attentive and l wasn't going to yell so l didnt buy a drink (they lost a 2 drink sale of $22 and she lost gratuity of a 33% tip); The parking lot was lit but l didn't see a security officer on the parking lot, inside or outside of the establishment (there could have been plainclothed officers present.), the 1st staff at Krazy Sweet Desserts was excited to mention that she was about to get off work and she couldn't serve me because the person who was "allowed to slice the pie" wasn't available. I had to walk away and wait 5 minutes before I could come back to get the pie. When I walked away, I realized she did not put pie in my bag and had to go back, ( i think it was that she probably didn't hear me correctly because was music was too loud. Even the staff at next phaze had to ask me to repeat things because we were closer to the d.J.And she couldn't hear me at all.It was like I had to yell to get my order understood.👎🏾 Altho staff replaced the cake she gave me with the pie that I wanted, the slice of pie was quite small for me to be such a big man and I also noticed She didn't let me keep the original wrong item that she gave me. (I had walked far enough away that I could have done something to the cake, so I hope she didn't resell it. The best way to handle giving somebody the wrong item is to give them the correct item and let them keep the incorrect item that was given to them if they left the counter with it before they left.), the sign for parking is way too small to read while driving downhill North Ave, two 6 oz puddings and 1 slice of pie=$24.38, the prices were not visible. And I wasn't offered an electronic receipt showing how much I paid for the items because I wasn't asked (I always want a receipt), a single turkey wing, a side of string beans, cabbage, and yams cost me $21, i wanted collard greens with the ribs they were sold out too, i didn't see enough people cleaning the restrooms or dining area and there were tables full of used cups & trash sitting around. (This is not appealing when you're trying to eat your food hence, I did not taste or eat any of my food While I was there.) Depending on what kind of person you are it may have been a little bothersome that at least 3-4 of the kids were dancing in the mirrors that were located near the bathroom entrances; there was no where inside to step aside to take a call unless you went outside. I actually saw one paying $$ customer having to sit outside to take a phone call in the 35°F cold. One pudding, 1 drink 1. Turkey wing 3 sides & a slice of pie would easily cost you $50, excluding any gratuity. I took at least 30 mins to make sure I included all the good & negative things.I could remember, so I hope my honesty helps. Prob would go back to get to-go food and leave ONLY.

  First time at The Mill. Great environment, beautifully decorated, and some good options. Had the whiting platter w/ fries and Mac & cheese. Everything was cooked well. Mac & cheese was pretty solid. Good flavor, could’ve been a bit cheesier. Whiting was cooked perfectly and the sauce they gave with it was delicious.

  Horrible experience. The guy who served me acted like he didn’t want to. Gave me my food with no entree, just sides. I got home and had to come back. Catfish was tasty. The collards had no seasoning and the green beans were overcooked. 1st and last time.
