While the food quality itself was fine—the catfish was actually good—the overall experience did not justify the price. When I asked for basic condiments like tartar sauce and hot sauce, I was told they were both unavailable, which was surprising for a restaurant of this type. My biggest concern, however, was the portion size. I have been to countless soul food restaurants, and I have never received such small portions for the cost. I specifically asked how many pieces of catfish came with the meal and was told one thing, but when my food arrived, I was shocked to see that it was one filet cut in half and presented as two pieces. Selling half a filet as separate pieces is misleading and a very poor value. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations, and I will not be returning.

The homemade tartar sauce was so nice and unique. The mac and cheese was interesting but the more I ate it the more I liked it. The greens were gross to me. I threw them away. Sweet potato pie had different flavors than I am used to but I also liked it. Overall I will order again but SKIP THE GREENS!
