I’ve never had a great experience at this store location, hence the reason I rarely ever go into a Giant. Yesterday’s visit confirmed that even more. I stopped at Giant to pick up 4 Amazon Gift Cards, $20 each. The time was around 11:30am, I get in line at the only register with an actual cashier, her name was Sherry, not friendly and very slow. The woman checking out 2 ahead of me, kept on trying different cards to pay, needless to say that took about 10 minutes. The guy in front of me looked at me, saw I had 4 gift cards, thought he’d be in the Christmas spirit, but nope. He goes to check out using an EBT card, didn’t have enough money on it and had to out items back, he had no cash and well that took awhile. Sherry turns to me and instead of saying “Hi”, “good morning”, she turns and says “ how much you putting on the gift cards, I tell her $20ea, she said “we can’t do that it’s over $50, I said I don’t understand, she said she can’t ring them up since it’s over $50, I said ok run two transactions, she said I had to go to customer service and that she, Sherry, has a sign at her register that states so. So after almost 25 minutes behind two customers, one cashier open, I go to customer service. I explained the situation to Crystal, who was very nice, I asked for the store manager, Crystal calls for a manager, not the store manager, the front end manager Naveah. She was dressed very sloppy, explained my situation she said there are signs in front of the gift card kiosk, which was not very clear, I’m not looking for signs of where to pay for gift cards I’m looking for gift cards to pick out! I explained my frustrations either only ONE cashier, which to me at a large grocery store on a Friday was ridiculous. She would not even stop to look at me to chat and say “hey let me look into this for you so sorry for the inconvenience” no she blamed me for not looking for a sign to pay for the cards. I asked for the store manager as she gave me an attitude and just walked away like she is better than anyone else, she’s a front end store manager with no disregard to people who pay her salary. No sorry, no thank you for shopping, no sorry that this happened, nothing! This store is the worse, last time going here, I only may be one person and I’m sure you won’t go out of business because I’m not shopping there, but how can you continue with management like this girl. The only saving grace was Crystal, very nice young lady, we exchanged Merry Christmas to one another.
Naveah couldn’t even say that to me, or Happy Holidays, how can Giant employ such a not so nice attitude type of person?! Horrible! Hey Giant, have more “live” cashiers and post signs at the start of the register for gift card purchases. Merry Christmas!
