  I have been going to Giant as long as I can remember. I'm now in my 50s and this is my first review I've ever done for Giant. It is a shame on my part - the first review and it's a negative one - after all the years of a great service I've had, but it must be said. They have done a very good job up until my latest complaints about the pharmacy & fruit. Complaint: I must say that lately, just about all of the fruit that I get from Giant is either moldy, slimy or rotten or turns those ways within a very short period of time, usually a day or two. They do take the rotten fruit back without a problem for an even exchange, however, even the exchanges can and do turn out moldy, brown and/or slimy sometimes. The people in customer service and around the store are ALWAYS very helpful and friendly. 😃 The main lady 👵that is always at the counter of Giant Pharmacy in Annapolis in Forest Festival is absolutely wonderful and should get a raise for the torment she puts up with every day from all the nasty patients in pain needing their medicine. (I saw the poor woman crying one day from a nasty customer yelling at her. )🤪

  It’s wonderful that this store employs mentally/developmentally challenged folks, but they don’t make the best baggers. Today Brennan put my loaf bread on the bottom of the bag with heavy items on top. My Ledo Pizza was put on its side like a book on a shelf. I had to show him that it should sit flat on top. Perhaps mgmt could better train these folks so they can have the satisfaction of knowing the right way to bag groceries.

  On 1/23/26 I use self check out “ #9” at 9;45 ish AM, total came up to $55 and I paid and received two receipts. One receipt was for my order and the second receipt was from an order from 11-17- 2025 from a location in Edgewater the machine accidentally printed this for some reason OR I must grabbed somebody old receipt either way this is not a receipt I used because I never go to giant in Edgewater, the customer service people did not believe me. I came back to the store to return something, and they told me that the items were not on the receipt. I tried to tell the workers that the receipt is what they gave me from the machine. The workers kept telling me I had to go to Edgewater. I told him I never been to the giant in Edgewater ever in my life, and I live on the Eastern shore that this is incorrect. The workers were basically calling me a liar and all types of things. having an attitude with me because they’re overworked because the snow is coming this weekend, which is not my problem. I ended up finding my correct receipt and ended up returning my items and the store manager told me I need to apologize to the workers. Why do I need to apologize to the workers? Obviously this is the receipt that came from the machine because why do I have it? I’m currently driving a rental car right now, so where would this receipt randomly come from? ??? I definitely will not be shopping there anymore and it’s just sad for this to happen considering my friend works there to think I would try to steal or get over is crazy. I’m not that pressed for a refund of $30. This place needs more professional staff. While I told the workers to look on the camera at myself during self check they told me they don’t have “ access” and isn’t possible LOL. Weird how the incorrect receipt the machine gave me from 11/17/25 was the same exact total as my current receipt that was correct really weird but yet they think that I’m lying when I said the machine printed me out this receipt. The staff looked overworked and frustrated with the rush of the snow storm coming but doesn’t give you the right to take it out on customers .maybe sit back and ask the customer, Why they are upset instead of bashing them because you’re overworked. HORRIBLE store MANAGER! She actually made things worst. Once I found the right receipt they looked stupid after accusing me of not buying the items I was trying to return.

  I have been ordering groceries for pickup for years. However, since moving to Annapolis I have had a terrible experience. I waited 30 mins for my order. Then when I received my order half of the order wasn't there. They didn’t provide substitutes for my order like another tofu, grapes, frozen edamame. I could have went to another grocery store and got everything I needed in 30 mins.
