Unfortunately, the service just wasn’t great during our visit. We were seated on the bar side, and when our waitress first came by, we instantly felt rushed. Said we just needed a few minutes to decide what we wanted and then, the service was almost non existent. It was clear she was far more interested in helping the group behind us, and our table was pretty much ignored for the rest of the meal. We even had trouble getting her attention just to pay the bill because she was busy chatting with other staff. It’s disappointing, especially because we were planning on hosting our staff Christmas party here.

She was unfriendly, we felt hurried when ordering and she was slow to return to the table. she did not give me time to ask for a drink for my son after getting the adults drink orders. I had to stop her from leaving the table so I could at least order him dinner. I was able to ask for a juice for him while we were eating. She didn’t make any conversation when taking payment just brought the machine and stood there while we paid.

The food was great even though my brother was hoping for the amazing ribs we had a couple months ago. Our server on the other hand was cold, awkward and pretentious. He didn’t exude the qualities a server should have serving such expensive food. As soon as we left the restaurant everyone commented on how rude he was, made us feel uncomfortable. My mother does not go out to eat ever, and she was sweet and playful about what to order and he made the interaction awkward. I was upset with my husband providing a tip, but I hope the tip goes to the cooks because the food was truly wonderful.

- BMBrian McCuskeeNov 7, 20255.0This was our first dinner at State & Main. I had the Salmon dinner and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Asparagus was prepared perfectly, the mashed potatoes were smooth and creamy. The spicy crust topping on the Salmon was my personal favorite. The elevated booth was spacious and cosy at the same time, giving a great view and if you're watching the monitors you won't miss a minute. Service was on the money, for the whole time and glasses and cups were refilled with mystical precision. Our family gathering went perfectly. We will certainly return for another round.... Btw, be hungry, as the helpings are generous.
