Was a good place to go for certain things but I like getting the fresh cut veggie trays for snack food, and 2 of the last 3 from here have been slimy carrots and rotting broccoli. I dont come here often anyway because I usually go to superstore up the road to get the veggie trays as some of thr price points here seem out of whack compared to other grocers in the area - but this is just one more reason to not come out and it will shape how I do my future shopping, essentially: it looks like door crasher sales from now on because fresh isnt really a prioroty for these so called "fresh" items.

I loved going here, but now, not so much. I bought a kid's brand of cheese string here Oct. 28. fed it to my 1 year old and he wasn't feeling too well. Checked and it EXPIRED ON AUG 15TH. Took it to customer service where I was waiting for quite awhile. And the lady there showed lack of customer service. Told her to take a look at the other products and stuff to make sure no other kid gets sick. No reaction. No urgency. I guess it's partly my fault but honestly being expired for 2 months is wild. I at least got my refund.
And no, I will not be emailing or phoning the store. I am done.

I think they could be better if they had new security, they definitely didn’t need 3 people beating on a man in a wheelchair for stealing a package of meat. Not saying I’m on his side for stealing but choking a man out who has a broken leg and is in a wheelchair in front of children? Not very professional… and having that many staff outside watching, quite embarrassing if you ask me do better and find new staff because that was disgusting. Not only that but for him to think he has the authority to do all that is crazy and definitely not in his job description

Great selection of fresh meats if you like to BBQ. I come here specially any time I want to make something in my smoker. Best place for ribs and pork belly. And for regular cuts of meat, the section is massive. Even just for the butcher this place is worth checking out.
This is also the "international" store so there's plenty of Asian and other foreign brands. I've only been to the one in Bridgewater and it's completely different. Almost not even the same store

I usually shop at Save-On-Foods and it has always been a good experience. However, during my recent visit, I felt very disappointed. When I went to the checkout, the cashier did not greet me properly and spoke so quietly that I could barely understand her. She did not treat me in a professional or welcoming manner.
What made me feel worse is that the customer right after me was greeted warmly and spoken to very nicely. This left me feeling ignored and uncomfortable.
I hope Save-On-Foods can ensure all customers are treated equally with respect and professionalism.
