Original Joe’s is a place that welcomes everyone. We have craveable classics for lunch or dinner, down-to-earth vibes and a friendly team looking to brighten your day! Original Joe’s Unicity is located just inside the perimeter highway on Portage Avenue West. We’ve been catering to Winnipeg’s St. James neighbourhood for nearly a decade. Our patio is one of the largest in this part of the city (you’ll have to come check it out) and boasts a beautiful exterior TV to watch summer sporting events on. We’re a short drive away from the Assiniboia Downs where you can enjoy live horse racing or the Bell MTS Iceplex, which is open year-round. You can take in a few rounds of golf at the Glen Dale Golf & Country Club or visit the Red River Exhibition Park for various events. Wherever you decide to spend your time in Unicity, you can never go wrong by ending (or starting) your day with OJ’s. Our patio welcomes dogs along with good vibes!

    Best calamari ever and our server named Kennedy was such a sweet addition to the experience, we had a lot of fun and she was very welcoming while letting us know lots about the menu and helping out with all and any concerns.

    I made a stop here recently and came for the service ! Bar tender Emily and the servers Amalie and ambreen were phenomenal. Very charismatic and made me feel right at home away from home. I always stop here when I’m passing through town and I highly recommend this spot to my coworkers who pass through Winnipeg as well. I will always make a point to come back, well done ladies!

    Rebecca is the best waitress so friendly and her personality is awesome. My husband and I have come back just to see her. She has made our experience here so good we have told our friends to come see Rebecca!

I live just down the street, and it’s always great when a local spot delivers the kind of respectful, attentive service that makes you want to keep coming back. I came in mainly to enjoy a few beers and unwind, and Brittany and Brooklyn completely understood the vibe I was going for. They were quick, friendly, and perfectly timed with their check-ins — exactly the kind of smooth rotational service that makes grabbing a few drinks relaxing instead of inconvenient. Both of them made me feel welcome the entire time. Never rushed, never ignored — just genuinely great service from start to finish. And the complimentary beer they surprised me with was a classy, much-appreciated touch that really made my night. Huge shoutout to Brittany and Brooklyn for going above and beyond. They deserve full credit for making this such a great experience. This is exactly the kind of service that keeps me loyal to my neighbourhood spots. I’ll definitely be back. 🍻
