The food quality was poor—the baked potato was undercooked, the meat had a strange taste, and the wings did not taste fresh at all. On top of that, we waited about 40 minutes for our food to arrive, which made the experience even worse. When we expressed to the waitress that we were unhappy with our meal and requested the bill, the response felt uncaring. They only offered a partial discount, charging us $50 for food we didn’t even eat. Overall, this visit was very unsatisfactory, and I would not recommend Montana’s based on this experience.

Staff went above and beyond to fix the errors from our previous visit. This is how you make things right. Everyone makes mistakes and “doing sorry” rather than just saying sorry really renews a person’s faith in the establishment. Montana’s did it right. Food was tasty - service was good, even though the restaurant was very busy. We will be back! Thank you Montana’s on Sterling Lyon in Winnipeg!

The brisket was bland. My ribs were okay and I have to agree with the wings, The kids did enjoy the kids meal. It was a hit and miss that's why I am giving it a 3 for food. The service was good and the place was kept clean. I would have expected more. Our guests did enjoy their meal and we had a good time, Cooking consistency would be our feedback to make it a better experience.

Three hostesses at front desk, one sat us down at a table told us some server's name and that they would be with us right away. We waited 20 minutes, no one paid any attention to us at all. At 1 point, we could see at the hostess table 5 Ssaff members standing there talking, I tried to wave to get their attention, still no one came. Then all the staff left the front desk We were still waiting . At this point, we had been waiting 20 minutes. We got up to leave, but not before I walked up to one of the hostesses who was near the back of the restaurant and told her how long we had waited and we were not even offered water and that we're leaving. I don't even want to give a one star rating , but google is forcing me to

She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and professional from start to finish. She created a warm and welcoming atmosphere right away, offered great menu recommendations, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. The service was outstanding — drinks arrived quickly, food was served hot, and Lipi checked on us often with a genuine smile. You can truly see that she enjoys her job and cares about her guests. The restaurant itself is clean, cozy, and has that classic BBQ charm. The food was delicious, the portions generous, and everything was well-prepared. Montana’s definitely maintains a high standard of quality and hospitality. I will absolutely be coming back. Huge thanks to Lipi for making our evening so enjoyable — staff like her truly make the place special!
