Here was this woman standing in between her two co-workers who obviously could not understand what was being said as she is not of that culture. I am trying to be polite here and respectful but what I witnessed was FAR FROM BEING RESPECTFUL. I could tell by the look on this woman that she was feeling so VERY UNCOMFORTABLE at her work station. My heart sank for this woman. My order was was up and she served me. I could not walk away without saying something to her. I said I am so very sorry that you have to work in this environment and being disrespected. And this is what she responded to me with: LAST WEEK NOONE HERE AT WORK TALKED TO ME, THEY ALL WERE SPEAKING THEIR LANGUAGE AND DID NOT SAY ONE WORD TO ME. I write this in caps because this is workplace HARASSMENT, THIS IS DISCRIMINATION against a Canadian. This poor woman is being bullied and harrassed. Disgusting!! I hope management sees this and something is done! I hope ANYONE who reads this and is facing the same treatment to speak up and reports to human rights!
