  I usually do not leave reviews, but I wanted to bring this concern to the attention of the McDonald’s team at store #15611 located at 2475 Portage Avenue Winnipeg. This took place December 24th 12:49am. We flew into Winnipeg and went to grab some food before heading home. My partner is vegetarian from birth as part of her culture and she usually does not have many fast food options. We thought to try the veggie burger at McDonalds as we had never tried it. Instead of getting a veggie burger we received a chicken patty in a box labeled veggie. Although it should not be needed it is best for us to always test to see that items like this appear to be veggie to avoid situations like this. But this time we did not turn the car lights on and confirm by tearing a piece off. After having taken a bite my partner said something did not seem right and I took a bite to confirm. It tasted like chicken to me and upon view under light I verified this. My partner has been feeling sick to her stomach. We will likely not go to McDonald’s again even if just for myself. Although many individuals may not be able to relate to not being able to/not wanting to eat meat for cultural or religious reasons it is more serious than just a simple mix-up. To describe a similar feeling imagine if you were eating a chicken burger and after a few bites you noticed an odd taste and you realize you had been eating feathers. While not an exact comparison, think about how you may feel. No individual should get in trouble, but the team should work to determine potentials for how or why this may have happened and I work to minimize contributing factors to prevent anyone else from having to experience something similar.   Just ordered some food . You should train your staff on food quality and food safety . If the food is passed expiry don’t just reheat it and send it out ! I’m upset about this my fries have no salt and my nuggets are over cooked because they decided to just put them back in the oil .

  I was pleased to meet Maria this afternoon, she was very welcoming and professional. This McDonald’s location is always clean, and the staff is constantly busy keeping everything tidy, which I really appreciate. It’s great to see a team that works hard and truly cares about the customers. Excellent service and a very positive atmosphere every time I visit!

  I visited this McDonald’s last week. My order was incorrect, and one of the staff members under the name Anmol were dismissive when I pointed it out, and my food was cold. I asked to have it corrected but left frustrated. I’ve been a customer for years and was disappointed by the service and lack of care. I’m sharing this so management can improve. I’d appreciate a response from the store or franchise.
