I have to admit that I was not very keen on going for lunch here when my husband suggested that "we grab a poutine" to share. Not quite my idea of lunch but decided to go with it anyways cuz I could always order a burger or something, right?!?
Well, let me tell you...itbwas probably the absolute best quick fast decision i have made in a long time because the Patty Melt I had ordered took me back to where I had first fell in love with these scrumptious little pieces of beef, cheese, onions and whatever secret spices and herbs that all 5 Giys must have hidden away somewhere in their bold red and gleaming white walled diner!!! I swear that this uber friendly, organized well oiled assembly line of Winnipeg Master Line Cooks was so professional and immaculately clean, I could have definitely eaten that mouth watering Patty Melt right off rhe floor without a worry of germs or bacteria entering my body whatsoever. With that shared delight, we also "grabbed a poutine" that surprised us both as we just couldn't get enough of how much more tasty it became with each fork full...the gravy looked divine over the grand amount of cheese curds and hand cut, fresh fries from The Mart Group that was advertised as where the potatoes they were currently serving up had come from, a nice little touch to such a savory meal!!! Topped it off with a couple of milkshakes so thick that my cheeks got sucked in when sipping it through the straw, my husband couldn't help but comparing them to the old golden arches shakes lol but these ones we had, Bacon Salted Caramel for him and a Candy Cane Crush for me...a choice that is going to have me back in there again before they are taken off the limited time offer menu...I could not find one reason or morsel of the best damn lunch that we have been able to enjoy...bite after endless bite!!! I took the liberty to grab a couple of bags of fresh in the shell peanuts they have out for their customers enjoyment and wallets relief, as they come complimentary of these awesome #5Guys on Portage Avenue by Rouge Road. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BY THESE 2 HUNGRY DINERS!!! Well done folks and yesss, we will be back very soon to appreciate more of the same respectful, courteous and efficient dining experience that will be sure to satisfy any of the most ravenous cravings!!! Chii Miigwetch for reminding us of what to look for in a diner above the rest π

Does Five Guys offer gluten-free options?
The only products we offer that contain gluten are our buns, hot dogs (Canada only), HP sauce (UK only), and the malt vinegar condiment for our fries. In Canada, our Poutine Gravy condiment also contains gluten. All of our sandwiches, including burgers, hot dogs and the veggie sandwich, are available without a bun via our wrap or bowls.
While our crew members do all they can to avoid it, there is always a risk of cross-contamination. Please review our nutritional, ingredient and allergen chart for the most accurate information.
Why does Five Guys have peanuts for free?
Serving peanuts for free began as a way for people to pass the time while they waited for us to cook up their meals (way back in the day, before smartphones). It was such a hit, and has become such a Five Guys tradition, that we keep our stores stocked with peanuts to this day.
What is the best way to reheat leftover fries?
Leftover fries are excellent reheated in the oven (or Air Fryer). According to Chad Murrell, one of the Five Guys, just pop them in a 350-degree oven for about 10-15 minutes.
Also, give those leftover fries a try as hash browns, home fries, or even as the filling in an omelet.
Why is Five Guys switching from a fry cup to a fry bag?
We are switching to fry bags to ensure your fries stay fresher and as part of our larger commitment to the environment. The bags allow air to circulate better, so fries stay fresh during delivery and takeout. Same portions, same great fries β just smarter packaging thatβs also better for the environment.
