I'm a regular customer and I want to compliment Nesily as an excellent associate. I've never seen her at this store before but I hope she is a new addition to the team. She was very kind when I asked her for help and was super efficient at processing my coupons! Also, the STAR MARKET FOR U APP has a bug that prevents users from accessing the "Feedback" option for purchases. ✌️

I came in the last 10 minutes before closing on a Monday night and I had to use my first time OTB card and I didn’t know what items and it was getting late and CHAY THE MANGER ‘ said no problem! . I’m gonna help you do this and we got through it working together we got down to the very last cent and I only lost $.64. I was able to get the food I needed in the 10 minute time he was outstanding great attitude, helpful patient and it took all my stress away. Star market Has a great manager and CHAY!

I think I finally hit my last straw with this location this morning. I’ve been shopping this Star location for years—over a decade—and it used to be fine. It has less selection than other locations and they kept getting rid of stuff I reliably bought every week, but the fact that it wasn’t busy and was a relatively pleasant experience made up for this, in my mind. But in the last six months it’s been terrible, largely because they cannot seem to manage to keep even one checkout lane open. When I ask if one can be opened for my nearly-full cart of groceries, I’m told, “No, I’m the only one here”—as I look around at the other employees meandering around. We are already paying far too much for groceries, and when I tell people I shop at Star, they inevitably say, “But Star is so expensive.” Now on top of the privilege of paying $150 for two bags of groceries, apparently I’m also an employee, looking up and weighing all my produce, scanning everything, bagging it all, etc. I miss my pleasant Sunday mornings with Theresa at the register. Now I guess my choices are continuing as an unpaid employee or going to another location. It’s jaw-dropping that they seem to think this is a okay way to run a business.

This is the one place that if I could give it zero stars I could. I’m a frequent customer on the weekend, solely coming here due to convenience. Every time I come here I run into one upset after another. The staff here are mostly unhelpful, many of them are standing around on their phones, ignoring the customers, not even acknowledging them with a hello. I’ve received attitude on numerous occasions from the staff, but also have been blatantly ignored by staff. I always come here for grocery shopping, especially on a Saturday you’d think there would be a checkout line open, but usually none are. Instead I find the staff standing around on their phones not even paying attention to the clear customers in distress. Every time I have to ask one of them to help me out, open at least the checkout line for my 40+ items. I also have to bag every time, clearly they are understaffed but at least acknowledge that I’m helping you. They don’t even say thank you, have a good day, nothing of that sort. The customer service area is mostly empty when I go there as well, so if a mistake happens it’s usually not taken care of because no one’s able to help me. I do understand that they have younger staff and wearing AirPods is apart of everyday life for some, but if your going to wear some at least acknowledge the customer in front of you. It’s ridiculous the customer service skills they have here, it’s almost none. The only one I can without a doubt acknowledge is very helpful and kind to me is Teresa. She always has a pleasant conversation with me and has a smile on her face. Other than her, I am really contemplating whether I should go here anymore even if it’s convenient.
