When all the major items you order are unavailable, you end up having to pay for the delivery cost of whatever they do have that you ordered, then order food elsewhere. Also, they sell a lot of products that only have a short time left till expiry. When you order a bottle of mustard and it comes to you with one month left on it, that is a problem. Not a big fan of Shaws any longer.

After several attempts, the customer service associate told me I was “all set,” but I could see no payment had been taken. I said so politely and asked her to call a manager. Mary, the customer service manager, came over. She reviewed the screen, canceled the unpaid transaction, and then told me my account was now locked because she canceled it. To be clear: I did not leave, I was transparent that no money was taken, and I asked for help before anything was closed out. I was courteous throughout and tried to do the right thing. Please refresh training for both associates and managers on (1) confirming that a payment actually posted before hitting send, (2) troubleshooting the money-transfer system, and (3) how to speak with customers who flag issues in real time. People who speak up shouldn’t be blamed—they should be thanked
