I do all my grocery shopping at the Shaw’s in Peabody. I give it overall a 4.8 rating. This is based on excellent and eclectic produce, fresh sushi and raw fish, and a plethora of other products that cater to many cuisines. Signature brand products, though ok in general, do seem to be slowly pushing out some of our favorite other brands. However, I have one complaint. I have now purchased apple fritters from your bakery 3 times over the past 2 months, and there has never been even a hint of an apple anywhere near these fritters. They are all dough and sugar. Apples need to be added to this recipe or the name has to be changed. Thank you.

Had to return a never-opened turkey this morning with receipt. The customer service desk was closed with a sign that said to make the return at check-out. The cashier and woman standing at check-out #3 angrily told me the do not know how to do returns. One of the woman took the turkey from me and brought it to customer service to ask the man in the office to do the return. She never said a word to me when I thanked her for taking me back there and the man who did the return didn't once look at me through the entire process, visibly annoyed. I realize it's the day after Thanksgiving but is this normal customer service at this Shaws location in Peabody? It's the first time I've ever returned anything.

Was picking up Natalie's grapefruit juice from the produce dept and looked at expiration dates three of them were expired by 5 days. I thought I was doing the right by bring the juice up to the cashier to make sure other customers did buy expired goods. The cashier was seemed very annoyed that I brought the juice to the register and the front supervisor said I could have just left the expired product on the shelf. I'm aware of the FIFO rule but it wasn't expired by a day it was by 5, and it was clear that employees weren't too keene about rectifying it. I didn't do it to be a pain or get recognition for it I just didn't want anyone to buy it and get sick.
