Service was great. My drink was average. Didn't knock my socks off. We had two lamb dishes & they were both very good. Lemon soup was average. The octopus app was average. I expected more overall. Sauces & dressings were the stars of the show.

Ithaki is the best Mediterranean and Greek restaurant in Massachusetts. The food is incredible - the portion sizes are generous and the appetizers are amazing. Our favorite is the calamari. We recently tried the veal stifado for the first time and we truly have never had meat as tender before. It was incredible. And don’t forget dessert! Classic baklava and other delicious options that complete a fantastic meal.

I needed to write a review because our dinner at Ithaki was truly one of the best meals I've had in this area, even with some hiccups. The vibe: Fancy! You don't need to dress up but if you did you wouldn't look out of place. Would be good for a celebratory dinner. It's an unexpectedly great restaurant in a Holiday Inn. Extremely spacious & good for groups. Large bar area with full liquor license. And the service was great - our server was super friendly! Appetizers: The complimentary warm bread and dip was lovely. The spreads were kind of hit or miss. The Taramosalata was incredible, I couldn't get enough! But the hummus was kind of meh (I'm used to more tahini) and the baba ganoush did not have the smooth texture or roasted flavor I like. The Avgolemono Soup was so delicious, the best I've had, but Halloumi Salad was unfortunately a miss. The shishito peppers were too summery and random - I would have loved more bright winter citrus. The Halloumi cubes themselves didn't really mesh well with the greens. I wouldn't order it again. The stuffed grape leaves (Dolmades) - were SO GOOD. Perfect, the best I've had (we got the vegetarian ones). The kiftedes were tasty but a little dry, the tzatziki really helped. The fish entrees were the real standouts. The cod (a Boston area specialty) was excellent - perfectly cooked in a juicy tomato sauce and served in the pan (be careful!). The salmon also tasted super fresh and had a delicious ginger carrot sauce. Overall: a delicious meal in a surprising location. The menu is huge so I would definitely return to try more entrees. Plus they have so many small plates and vegetarian/vegan options it's great for different palates and occasions. You could just meet your friend to grab a cocktail and sit at the bar and eat some small plates. Must try: Avgolemono Soup, Dolmades, Taramosalata, and the Fish Entrees.

Food was ok, not as wonderful as we'd expected. The meat was dry and the best part of the meal was the fried cheese which is the easy thing. The service would have been better if I could have understood our waiter. The waiter also hovered over us, way too much. We felt rushed even though the dining room was basically empty. He touched our dishes to remove one, while we were eating which felt very rude and intrusive. We were also still eating of the plate he removed. The new restaurant has a nice clean crisp Mediterranean style white etc. Love the atmosphere.

Unbelievably great place The waitress was above and beyond. Made our meal so enjoyable. And since I don't know a lot about Mediterranean food she patiently explained what menu items were. Speaking of the food... It was amazing. I had Moroccan spiced tuna. Phenomenal. The menu was very diverse... There was even Italian food (gnocchi). It was my Wife's birthday and we had a table of ten. We brought a home made birthday cake... Not only did they allow it but the waitress put a birthday candle on the cake and a golden laurel on my wife's head. She took the cake to the kitchen... Cut it into slices and then plated it. Wow. Caveat... You get what you pay for. It is a little pricey. But it was money well spent. Six stars ******
