  The food was really good. We ordered Manchurian chicken noodles, tandoor8 chicken, paratha, mango lassi, and gulab jamun. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. The tandoori chicken was juicy, the noodles were delicious, and the paratha was soft. The mango lassi was sweet and refreshing, and the gulab jamun was soft and tasty. We really enjoyed the food and would definitely come back. Highly recommend!

  The food was delicious, Especially the Noodles and the Chicken Tandoori. What I love about the chow one was when the food was brought to us it was still sizzling, a very good experience. Staff were very kind and absolutely love this place. Definitely coming again.

  Decent food options for all, mirchi dishes alone, beware , its spicy even for south Indians with the general high tolerance levels. The rotis and paratha with the dishes are good and must try. The dessert Gulab Jamoon is soft and very appetizing. Great for family with kids.

  My wife is from India so we’re always on the search for delicious authentic meals. These are the best dosas we’ve had in the Northeast, and we’ve tried literally every establishment in the Boston larger metro and have driven as far as Albany NY, Providence, RI and Battleboro VT in the sole search of a finding good dosa. Their dosa selection is unparalleled and they make perfectly crispy, perfectly textured dosas every time. Their mango lassi is wonderfully balanced (not too sweet), their sambar is authentic (per my wife) and their palak paneer is absolutely to die for. The service is good, atmosphere is warm, and the establishment is clean and well maintained. We live nowhere close but this place is always worth the drive.

  Honestly the food is pretty good and that’s what you generally look for in a restaurant. But in this case, I sadly have to leave a 1 star review for the terrible ambience. They have one of the worst musicians performing on the weekends that leaves you with a terrible headache rather than a pleasant experience. We have tried to subtly convey this to the restaurant folk, but nothing ever happens. I know of at least a dozen of my friends who stopped going here just because of the terrible music and sound system. I’m hoping that someone from the 1947 team sees this and takes action because I see a lot of reviews here that say the same thing, and honestly the restaurant can be much better because the food is honestly pretty good. I would prefer a dine-in experience without the loud and crass music, and if they really want to add music, just regular Bollywood songs in the background works. The terrible musician is just a dent to the restaurant in my opinion.
