- STshare truthOct 7, 20251.0I was with a group and stopped by Saturday night...An elderly couple ordered before us. Sadly, the elderly gentleman could not hear or speak loud. So when he asked for an additional item the young lady kept saying "I cannot hear a word you're saying" but she would not get closer and it definitely was not with a friendly tone; to the point where I asked the gentleman what he needed and relayed it to the young lady. She gave me a look as if she was bothered I jumped in to help. She proceeds to turn around and I shook my head in disbelief. Little did I know the young man at the register is her partner and took offense to my head shaking. I know this because he asked me "Are you good?" and I replied that I was and asked if he "was good" to which he said he was and then said to me "that's my girl" and I answered "So" he responds "looks like you got a problem" I replied "actually I do if the customer service you all are given is not good." I reminded him that while my entire group ordered our food he was watching videos on his phone that he laid down next to the register and asked if that was part of his job description and he stuttered a lot before saying "yes." He of course grabbed his phone and put it in his pocket right away. We ate there and left with no problem. But we were all shocked and disgusted by these actions and wonder if McDonald's franchisee and/or corporate approve of all this behavior?
