  i just spent the last five dollars to my name on a bagel from here. it was so burnt and inedible. i didn’t even want a bagel in the first place, i wanted avocado toast and they told me no. and then some man was telling me about how good his avocado chicken sandwhich was so they obviously had the means to make it. and then of course my bagel was burnt to the crisp and please don’t get me started on the cream cheese. it was the consistency of ublec. it was drippy and disgusting and i have videos of it.. disgusting. i then went up and asked for new cream cheese.. and it was the same thing.. one more time.. and same thing.. then the next time i went up i just asked for plain butter and that was fine. i just don’t understand how something kept in a fridge all day is like the liquid that you get on top of sour cream when it’s left out for too long.. to conclude this i have no money to get my dinner tonight and wish i just got a bag of bagels for the same price from hannafords.

  Perfect service by great people, wasted in unhealthy food with no alternatives. The service at this location is exceptional. This is how every restaurant should operate. The team is consistently friendly, efficient, and genuinely welcoming, even on a first visit. One employee in particular, Christine, stands out. She is thoughtful, attentive, and treats customers with a level of care that feels personal, not transactional. You get the sense she actually cares, which is rare. The food at Panera Bread is marketed as healthy, but that does not hold up. There are virtually no truly fresh, simply prepared protein options like grilled or baked fish or chicken. Most of the menu is built around pre-prepared components and bread-heavy combinations, pushing refined carbs over actual nutrition. Sugar is excessive and unavoidable unless you actively work around it. The drink menu is dominated by high-sugar options, pastries are essentially sugar delivery, and there are minimal zero-calorie alternatives beyond water. Service is top-tier. The food offering is not aligned with its health claims.

  My mom and I recently went for lunch at Panera. She doesn’t go there often and the bread on the sandwich she chose is on the crunchier side. The bread was fine but she just didn’t like it. I told her that is the bread that sandwich is made with. She just wasn’t happy. I was going to swap out my bread for hers but someone at the next table came over and asked what was wrong since she worked there. My mom explained and the women said not to worry and they’d make a new sandwich in whatever bread she wanted. The woman gave her a few samples and my mom chose one. She had a new sandwich made and my mom was delighted. I love that without even asking, she took the initiative and came over to make my mom happy. It was fantastic!
