  Today at my local Hannaford's in Leominster Mass, I went to pick up a few things including two items of ground chicken that had always been for sale for two for $7 for over a year now. But when I went to buy it today the price of changed, so I asked the lady at the self-serve aisles to please go check the price and so she did. A man from the meat department came and accused me of not looking and reading the signs properly and doubted my intelligence to do so very loudly, and about 10 people turned around to stare at me as the man was scolding me for not reading the signs properly. And then continue to say that they were "clearly" marked in a snobbish voice! I told him that I was dyslexic and I did not have my reading glasses today and the man did not apologize he did not say anything kind to me, and he just walked away and a huff like I wasted his time I've been! I then went to look at the prices to make sure he didn't make a mistake. As I approached the meat department he was there putting the meat that I had back. I do not want to have a confrontation with him again so I talked to another gentleman that worked there in the meat department and as I was doing so the other man saw me talking to him and came over and interrupted our conversation, he did not want me speaking with him! I said I was embarrassed and humiliated and I will not be returning. And I walked away and left. I have been going to that store for over 3 years and I've never had a problem. People have always been nice to me except for this one gentleman, which in fact a few months ago he was first rude to me about some cheese that I was looking for. So this was not our first confrontation! The staff did nothing to help me then or now and nobody said anything to this man about his manners and lack of! The staff really need to have some empathy for people that have disabilities like I do. It's a shame, because they lost a good and loyal customer today. I will just be going there to pick up my prescriptions and that will be it from now on. 😢😔😐
