Staff were standing around, waiting for a batch of burgers to come off the grill and could easily have served me up the simple cup of fries I was asking for. But I waited and waited. I asked the Idle staff “hey when you get a minute, can you please give me my fries". But the staff said that my number wasn’t up yet. I had to wait for all the burgers on orders to be packaged up and sent out With their Uber and DoorDash drivers before they would give me a simple cup of fries. I understand the concept the first come first serve. But the DoorDash drivers weren’t even there to pick up their food yet and it was just put on a shelf to wait for them. Does it make sense to you to be packing up food for a shelf for someone who has not arrived yet when there is a live customer standing right in front of you? They could’ve easily served me and kept a customer with a simple scoop of fries. I’ll never stop at that Five Guys again and I’m going to be much more skeptical of the entire remainder of the chain.
