The Chipotle restaurant on Mill Street in Leominster Massachusetts is without doubt the worst managed outlet in their entire chain. My spouse and I generally enjoy Chipotle at several of their locations around New England. Since we are both optimists we have visited the Leominster location several times with a wide range of results and frequent disappointments. They constantly come up short. We usually order a couple of chicken salads, a common item often shown in tv commercials. We usually go early in the lunch hour or early in the dinner hour, prime times.
They have been "Out of Lettuce" "Out of Rice" "Out of Corn" " Out of Peppers and Onions" and today was even worse.
As we looked for a lunch option at 11:40 a.m. I jokingly said "Let's go to Chipotle and see what they are out of..."
Well the answer was chicken. at 11:40 in the morning they were out of chicken. We left without ordering after the angry manager argued that non of the recent failures was his fault. This place needs an audit team from Headquarters to come in and show them proper procedures and food prep hygiene. Or they should just close it.

I’ve never gone so far as to review a Chipotle before, but it needs to be said: this is the SLOWEST Chipotle in HISTORY!!! It’s unbelievable. Don’t ever think you’re stopping here for a quick lunch break or grabbing dinner on the way home after a long day. There is no sense of urgency in this store. I am not even sure why they have a “Chipotlane” if they can’t even handle making the food on time. It just causes the drive thru to build up around the whole building. Then you get old, soggy chicken on top of that. Yikes. Not to mention you order double chicken and they just give you the same amount as normal depending on the day/person. Is there not a standardized process for this? There better be for an extra $4.10.

This place is absolutely DISGUSTING!! It's filthy! the floors , the tables everywhere! The serving line filthy. I am appalled shame on chipotle and they're management.
Went in at dinner time, waiting for rice, no pico anywhere
The upper management NEEDS to get in there and fix this.
Before they are sued again and in the news.
Paying $30 for two bowls for mediocre cold not fresh food unacceptable!

Worst Location, don’t bother.
Staffing issues have been up and down over recent years and even though they seem to be mostly fully staffed at this stage (I write this in December 2025), it does seem like everyone who works there has some sort of issue with customer service.
Prices for Tiny portions. This has gotten out of control. If the management is training everyone to give tiny portions, then it should be posted how much of each meat portion one is expected to receive when one makes an ordinary order because leaving it up to how a random employee’s scoop will behave on any given day is resulting in itty bitty portions, for which is it literally pointless to pay for a burrito or a bowl. People come to chipotle because they are hungry and want a well rounded, great tasting meal. You’re not going to get that at this location for any price— you can pay more and have bad meat preparation or bad attitude from the customer service food service clerks — or you can pay less, but still a substantial price ($14 or so) for meat that isn’t even present and sauces that have been sitting too long or over or undercooked meat and way too much sour cream without enough rice or beans and zero proteins. Then they want to upsell you on every sauce and add-on but they can’t nail the main product: the burrito.
Honestly, I have stopped eating here over the years and have recently decided to give them a try again, but it’s the same story, different set of faces: not worth the money and you’re just going to leave angry that you spent any time and money when you could have just gone home and made yourself a burrito with grocery store ingredients and 30 minutes of time to meal prep (with leftovers for tomorrow).
Not worth it. The only reason you’re stopping here is because you’re desperate— so just remember that the next time you drop by this location and ask yourself if it’s worth getting frustrated and being served too much or too little rice and a crap ton of sour cream and cheese because they don’t want to serve you any protein for $14 or even $17. 🙄
