I’m from lawrence so I’ve been to sunnyside a handful of times. Their breakfast has always been good when you’re looking for a classic diner breakfast. Lately I heard they were under new management and had added lunch and dinner to their hours as well. It was about 12pm and we decided we wanted both breakfast and lunch options. We went to sunnyside. My mini ordered chicken and waffles and I ordered fish and chips. Can I just say YUM YUM!! As you can see, the fish was a HUGE portion. Came out hot, crispy fries. It was quite a nice surprise. My daughters chicken was hot, waffle was freshly made and crispy. It was delicious and she was singing their praises the rest of the afternoon. Will definitely be going back to try their dinner menu soon. 5/5. Highly recommend.
P.S. the waitress was great. I regret not getting her name. She had the perfect diner vibe, loud, strong accent, funny, chatty. She was great and totally added to the experience and the high score.
Stopped by Sunnyside Diner for a Falafel tray for dinner with all the fixings. The food was very well prepared and the taste was authentically Lebanese. Phenomenal job, I would definitely stop by again. I can't wait to try a shawarma tray next. Highly recommended!

This diner was such a sweet surprise. From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us with genuine kindness and made us feel so comfortable right away—it really set the tone for the whole visit. You can tell they truly care about their customers.
The food was absolutely delicious, and the pizza was the highlight. It was huge for the price!! What made it even better was how affordable it was. We were able to feed three people for around $20, which honestly feels rare these days.
I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and nostalgic 1980s spot with great people and even better food.

This need to be said but the food is so over priced for what it especially the pizza a 12inch is 18$ that’s kinda crazy if you think about it, and also say the food on the picture are definitely not what you get in person not even close, the people are nice but they were having some discussion possibly not appropriate in front of customers I’ll just say that, I just hope the breakfast is better

This place charges a dollar for EACH TOPPING on your sub. All I wanted was a Steak & Cheese with Mayo & pickles. Firstly they dont even have pickles as an option online and who charges $1 for MAYO!?!?!?!!?!
Got my sub without my toppings, will update if its even good food.
Steak & Cheese was decent.
They also charged a to-go fee.
Will not be back. Not worth all the up-charges.
