- MBMark ByronSep 17, 20253.0The only reason I give 3 stars is because the overworked employees trying to help customers who are stuck dealing with stop and shop's antiquated checkout pos and card system. That system needs to be replaced as soon as possible! The company has chosen to rely on self service checkout , yet they've never updated their systems. The store is well stocked, clean and employees know where items are and assisted me quickly. Now on to the worst parts. Self checkout is a disaster. I have had nothing but problems with the systems. Their employees are working harder than ever to try to make a good visit out of a complete disaster due to the checkout process. I feel badly for them. A charge for bags that begin decomposing the instant you open them up is absolutely insane as well. It's time to get the corporate drones out in the field so they can experience this for themselves. I'm betting things would change rather quickly.
