The first thing I noticed is that they were all cut- not sure how i feel about that since we freeze them to have fresh bagels for a week but I can deal with that. What we really didn’t like is the bagels were more like bread- not chewy on the inside with a hard crust on the outside. I wondered if they are really boiled? We wanted to compare Brueggers to Gunther Tooties ( who we love ) and now we can say as far as authentic bagels- Gunther Tooties is the clear winner with the real bagels that we crave.

After the renovation and re-opening, the bagels are not the same. I can get the same bagel anywhere else now. No need for the hour long drive. Such a shame. Maybe bring back the good bagels?
