The staff don’t have to carry heavy coffee containers anymore, and customers always get fresh, perfectly hot coffee. They grind the beans right before brewing, so you can really smell and taste the freshness in every cup. The flavor is noticeably different from regular brewed coffee. I don’t add milk or sugar, so I can really taste how rich and smooth it is — it even has a nice crema, just like espresso. As for the food, it’s about the same as other Panera locations — not particularly better or worse. The only downside is that there aren’t many power outlets, so it’s not ideal for working on a laptop. But since this location is always busy, I guess they intentionally designed it that way to keep the turnover high. This is still my favorite Panera because of the great coffee! I really hope more locations get the same automated coffee machine soon.

I don’t know if this is due to poor training, cost cutting, or inconsistent preparation, but it’s clearly hurting this location’s reputation. When customers choose Panera, we expect consistency across locations. Unfortunately, Framingham’s portion size feels like a bad imitation of what Panera normally delivers. I really hope management takes this feedback seriously, because I’d love to keep Panera as my go-to — just not this store unless things improve.
