NO staff available, no effort to try to improve the chaos at checkout. This sadly is what I have come to expect at Stop & Shop. I'll never go back.

- NWnancy waldronJul 24, 20251.0I went to Stop & Shop because I wasn’t feeling well and didn’t want to deal with the crowds at the more popular and reasonably priced market basket. My mistake. While checking out I presented my discount card and the cashier asked me if I had any coupons on my card. I responded that I didn’t know because I didn’t know what she was talking about. I had my card.., she responded with “well if you don’t know I certainly don’t”. I asked her to explain what she meant by coupons on my card at which she put her hand up in front of my face and shook her head no. Then she bent over the counter inspecting my walker and said oh it looked like you still had stuff in there. There was not. Then I went to the service desk to ask what she meant by coupons on my card and in about 15 seconds she explained that there was a kiosk where you could download coupons. Another ridiculous idea I already have a discount card now I have to take time to download coupons in order to get sale prices on other items??? When I said to the service person that it would have been nice if the cashier could have told me that she simply said have a nice day to dismiss me. Never, never again will I step foot in a stop and shop.
