I bought the 8-piece fried hot chicken on February 28, 2026 and have had severe food poisoning a few hours after ingesting. That was the only meal I ate that day after going grocery shopping. I was hospitalized and my partner and I are still undergoing awful symptoms days later. I spoke with the young manager and he did not offer an apology and seemed to not take this matter serious.

I paid an extra $10 for a guaranteed delivery window (3–4 PM) and the order didn’t arrive until after 8 PM, more than 4 hours late. No explanation, no update — we had to call the store ourselves to find out what was happening. On top of that, the produce was disgusting. The pears, cucumbers, and avocados were rotten and damaged. The pear in the photo was bruised, leaking, and clearly should have been thrown away, not delivered to a customer. Charging extra for a delivery time you don’t honor and then sending spoiled food shows complete disregard for customers. This is a waste of money and time. I will not be ordering produce from Shaw’s again unless this is addressed properly.
