I received the reply from the owner who asked me to go to the website and mention the Google review. As expected, there is no place to do that. There is only a virtual assistant chat option. If you wish for me to proceed, and with every other person that you ask to go to the official website, please include a link to do that.

While I was entering my rewards number and preparing to scan my apples, she immediately told me that I needed to scan the apples because of a “new system” they have. She then repeatedly insisted that I scan them and continued to involve herself in the transaction, even though I had not asked for assistance and was in the process of completing the steps myself. The tone and manner felt more like policing my actions than offering customer service. The interaction made me feel singled out and uncomfortable while completing a routine purchase. Based on how the situation unfolded, it raised concerns for me about potential discrimination in how I was treated. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and reviewed so that customers are treated respectfully and equitably at self-checkout.
