The picture is doesn’t make it clear how unhinged this meal was, so I added the picture of the meal from the website for comparison. It was literally a whole can of beans in a bowl (enough to feed a whole family), 2 meatballs (vs 4), half of a grape tomato (also out of stock?), and whatever toppings they hadn’t yet run out of. I’m embarrassed to say that I paid $20 for this. I would have preferred a heads up from the restaurant if they were out of greens, so I could have cancelled the order - a call, text, email, or even an in-person FYI and a refund at the restaurant when I got there would have worked. That or take the salad bowls off the menu until you restock so they can’t be ordered. Or, turn off online orders?? There were so many things they could have done to prevent this. It was 3 hours before close and there were a bunch of pickup orders waiting, so I’m sure I wasn’t the only person stuck with a lentil bowl for dinner tonight. Dreadful customer experience. The flavors were good, otherwise I would have given them 1 star. I’m sure I would have liked the bowl if it were made according to the picture/ingredient list on the website. So, so disappointing. If it’s after 5pm, maybe stick with Sweetgreen or Life Alive to be safe.

Just plain nasty rude. Don’t make eye contact with them or get a sneer or dirty look and god forbid you ask a freaking question! If you still want to go here, you need to go in like it’s a den of angry grizzly bears: heads down no eye contact, know exactly what you want, don’t dare greet them nicely (they’ll just roll their eyes at you) and loudly and clearly tell them what you want. And get out as fast as you can and don’t look back. In all seriousness though, Cava’s corporate office, if you ever read these comments, plz mystery shop this location stat.
