All vegan and vegetarian folks who have not been able to find a good ramen, this is your place! Loved all the ramen we tried and the sides too. Definitely try one of their rolls and they don't have seaweed in them! When ordering spicy hot ramen, ask for medium spice. For all the other ramen, you can go spicy or ask for chilli oil. These are my favs - spicy hot (medium), truffle salt (with chilli oil) and Japanese curry (with chilli oil).
It's a first come first serve basis. There is usually a wait time here. We tried this place once around 6.30 PM and at around 8.00PM. Both the times, we waited for about 20mins.

If you think great ramen needs meat, this place will completely change your mind. This fully vegan ramen spot is an absolute gem! From the first sip of the broth, it was clear how much care and depth goes into every bowl. The broth was rich, perfectly seasoned, and incredibly flavorful—comforting, satisfying, and not heavy at all.
Quick service. Typical downtown place small tight place, no stroller allowed. Only service animals allowed. Seating insides the restaurant is capped at 45 mins. Fast moving restaurants. Groups/parties can only be seated after your order is placed.
Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, or simply a ramen lover looking to try something new, this place is a must-visit. It’s proof that plant-based food can be bold, comforting, and deeply satisfying. I can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu! 🍜🌱 spiced to perfection.
This vegan ramen place is amazing. The broth is filled with umami. You will delighted with complex yet clear flavors on ANY of the choices. Specify your spice level (I go for no spice and revel in the base bowls but YMMV) Beverage choices are basic checkout style convenience store items. Skip and have water, and spend the extra $ on more ramen! Large groups or lingering are not options here. So steel yourself for the bombardment of rules when you enter, I know it's Newbury Street and priviledge abounds so I figure "This is the best bad idea" they have, so.. go solo or a couple is best, you on order at the basic service counter, you return to buss a tray when food is ready - once you pass the Soup Nazi vibe, order and get seated with your bowl - all is forgiven!!

11/10!!! The No. 8 Red Hot Miso has been my trusted favorite for over 5 years, to the point where I’ve rarely felt the urge to explore the rest of the menu. It’s my comfort order, and I know exactly what I’m getting every time. That said, this visit we decided to step out of our routine and try the No. 3 Garlic Miso, and we weren’t disappointed! The flavors were layered, well-balanced, and came together beautifully! With my high tolerance for spice, I’d describe the No. 8 as only borderline spicy at best, while the No. 3 leans entirely into flavor rather than heat - deep, savory, and satisfying, but without any real spice compared to the No. 8. When I get the No. 8, I always ask for extra spice just to get the level of kick I’m actually craving!
We also got the Spicy Miso Avocado Roll, but it was pretty heavy and kind of took away from the experience since we couldn’t fully enjoy the ramen! Also the flavor profile was kinda disappointing - very bland and no layers whatsoever!
Hoping to see more spicy & creamy broth options going forward. Would be great if we’re able to choose the thickness/firmness of the noodle and also customize the broth. Thought I’d also point out their ordering policy - they require one item to be ordered per person, which felt unnecessary because I’m guessing not everyone coming in with a party might want to have something! There’s also very limited space so on a crowded day, people are breathing down your neck and constantly brushing past you.
Dining in is the only right way to enjoy ramen because takeout just won’t do justice! So get yourself a bowl and let your soul feel every bit of it! The ramens are quite heavy by themselves and I had to pack up some of the noodles to take home! Only get the roll/sides if you still have space midway lol don’t get too excited and impulse order at the start like we did, you won’t enjoy your ramen!
Date night at REDWHITE Boston. My boyfriend and I chose this spot purely based on the vibes and the long line we saw while strolling down Newbury Street. I'll preface by saying we didn't realize it was a vegan restaurant beforehand, and if we had known, we probably wouldn't have stopped in --but not knowing this fact we decided to give it a try anyway.
We waited about 45 minutes outside before ordering. At REDWHITE, you order at the counter first and then grab a table once one opens up. Tables are limited to 45 minutes, which made sense because the turnover was constant -- as soon as one table cleared, someone who had just ordered took it. Even when we left, there was still a line.
I ordered the No. 9Truffle Salt, my boyfriend got the No. 5, and we shared the Roasted Miso Avocado roll. After ordering, we waited about another 10 minutes for our food.
The bowls were very different from each other, with different broths and noodles, though both included tofu. I didn't mind it, but my boyfriend wasn't a fan.
Overall, I did enjoy my ramen, though it's definitely an acquired taste. That said, I'm not sure l'd wait over an hour again for this dish alone, but it was still a fun experience.
The cozy basement atmosphere was perfect for a cold night. Shoutout to the staff as well - they were clearly working incredibly hard to keep everything running smoothly, especially the guy who was single-handedly bussing tables and keeping the flow moving.
All in all, a fun experience with high-quality food, even if the flavors didn't fully click for us.
