I greeted him and clearly stated the names on the orders, but he looked past me and started preparing someone else’s food. He waved me off and kept signaling for another customer instead of acknowledging me. His attitude came across as misogynistic and dismissive, acting as if I wasn’t worth acknowledging unless I forced his attention. I had to put the phone closer so he could actually see the order names. Still, he didn’t communicate at all and acted irritated while preparing the food. When the orders were ready, he gestured for me to move to the other side of the counter in an authoritative, rude way. Then he asked for the names again and still prepared one of the orders incorrectly. After correcting his own mistake, he told me to “accept the orders” on the Uber app, even though I had already done so when I first arrived. The entire interaction felt disrespectful, unprofessional, and unnecessary. As someone who picks up orders regularly, this was one of the rudest experiences I’ve had while doing Uber eats.
