- DRDuane ReevesJan 4, 20261.0Disappointed to share that I was racially profiled at the Star Market on Trapelo Road on 1/4/26. The incident occurred in the self check out line. As I started to check out, the worker covering the area came up to me in an aggressive manner and made some sort of accusation of me working for "uber eats". It was difficult to understand and I think she could tell that I had no idea what she was talking about. I was just there running errands as people do on a Sunday morning and picking up a few items from the store. I went back to checking my stuff out but started to realize what had happened and felt anger and frustration. As a person of color, I noticed she did not treat any of the other customers in this manner. The woman working the self check out did apologize to me as I walked out. On my car ride home and more reflection, I called the store on my way home to speak with the manager. He apologized and said he would speak with the worker. He did mention something about the worker having issues with delivery food workers but that shouldn't have been put on me. I'm just hopeful the woman working the self check out line learned from the mistake so that this doesn't happen again.

When you go to management they do nothing about it. Seems like a majority customers there have had similar issues as she was rude to them as well. She should be removed
