  I have shopped here a handful of times…each time I have noticed that the organic produce section is extremely lacking/half empty shelves/very little selection. Today, I needed green onion and cilantro for a recipe and there was none in sight. But the thing that makes me absolutely irate while shopping here, is the simple fact the store expects to subsidize the work of getting the groceries out of the store onto the customer via self checkout and also never staffing enough people in the checkout lanes. There is only ever two lanes open with a clerk, and never a bagger. I just witnessed a mom having to bag her own groceries, a cart LOADED, must have been over $400 worth of groceries and her maybe 10yr old daughter was having to put things on the belt while she herself bagged her own groceries because the two lanes/clerks scanning items were left without baggers. HUGE line accumulates, I am staring daggers at the managers office to see if anyone is paying attention. Several minutes later, there was an even bigger backed up line or people trying to avoid self-checkout, suddenly like 4 people appeared. Where were those people the entire time?!! Mind you this was like 9am, so lunch breaks weren’t an excuse. The past times I have been here I have had to bag my own groceries. It’s not the act of having to bag that I am mad about, it’s the principle of the matter that Stop N Shop refuses to hire enough people to staff the checkout lanes. You wouldn’t spend your money at a clothing store, then as soon as they have collected your money, leave you to take off the hanger, fold and bag your own items and literally start checking out the next person without helping you finish the transaction. Absolutely abhorrent management and staffing here. I am an extremely local customer, I live a block away, and this Stop and Shop will never receive another one of my dollars simply from what I have witnessed several times over and especially today seeing that mom have to bag a full cart herself…shop somewhere else if you can.

  I loved the location of this store. I have loved in Brighton area for 6 months now and did not realize there was such a gem nearby. The paper bags are easily torn but that's not the end of the world and it also has a bus station right near the exit which is a huge bonus. There were a lot of discounts when I was there but overall definitely a decent store to have near your house.

  The staff in this stop n shop are really sweet and always helpful. Also the store itself is really nice! Sometimes it can be a little unorganized but for the most part they do a phenomenal job!

  This place is the worst. Pretty new place escalators don't work, there's a car broken down in front of the down ramp to the garage where idiots fly through narrow lanes like it's bumper cars, the elevators are broken with ppl in them and the paper bags are so bad that the attendants tell you to carry them from the bottom because the handles will rip but you're forced to pay money for them on top of their inflated costs
