- SDShon Dixon1 day ago2.0I don't understand why it's so hard to make a proper Filet-O-Fish sandwich. It has a steamed bun, a fried fish patty, half of a slice of cheese, and tartar sauce. Before I order one, I always ask "is your bun steamer working". I ask that because every store I go to is now toasting the buns which gives the sandwich a totally different taste. Since this McDonald's location is new, I figured the bun steamer would be working and the food would be great! When I asked if the bun steamer was working, the cashier replied "yes". So I ordered a Filet-O-Fish sandwich and a medium order of fries. Needless to say, I received a warmed-over fish patty on a toasted bun with cold cheese and tartar sauce. No problem. I took it back and asked to speak to the manager. She responded that the cashier who took my order probably didn't know what a bun steamer was. I then said again, if the bun steamer is not working, I'll just take a Quarter Pounder with Cheese. This time, they served me a freshly-steamed bun with another warmed-over fish patty. Here's my thought: since you have to redo my order, why not cook the fish patty? Back in the day, it only took 4 minutes to fry a fish patty. I waited that long for the steamed bun. Didn't get any fresh fries either. What happened to good customer service? What was the purpose of the manager stepping in if she wasn't going to confirm that my replacement order goes out correctly? 🤦🏾♀️
