The queue at Cafe Du Monde was absolutely bonkers, and I had no interest in standing in the hot sun inching forward for half an hour. I'll admit I was a little deflated walking away, because beignets were the whole point of the stop, but then I spotted Cafe Beignet and the mood shifted instantly. Better reviews, a shorter line, and the promise of actual indoor seating felt like a small miracle on a sweltering afternoon.
Once inside, everything moved with an easy rhythm. A few minutes to place the order, fix my coffee, and settle at a table, and then a cheerful runner appeared with a plate of three beignets still steaming and buried under a drift of powdered sugar. They were fantastic! Hot, fresh, fried, sweet, and exactly what you want when you've been thinking about beignets all day.
I ate one, Mrs. K. ate one, and then we had a brief but spirited negotiation over the third before I remembered who actually runs the show. I managed one bite before she claimed the rest, which honestly felt like a fair outcome given the circumstances.
This is the spot I'd recommend without hesitation. On a hot Sunday afternoon, skip the tourist crush and come here instead, where the beignets are just as good (better?) and the experience is infinitely more pleasant.

Rude workers. 4 people behind register nobody in line but me and another lady. Nobody taking orders. When she finally did take my order had an attitude. I immediately made the order to go because what the hell? Never seen so many people who hate their jobs so much. What a way to end my day in new orleans. Next time I'll walk to royal street. I never leave bad reviews either but I guess this will be my first.
Atmosphere is AMAZING, I loved the set-up of tables and the beauty of NOLA that filled the restaurant.
I got a coffee, which was okay (nothing crazy) & benigets. They were a bit dense, but this was also my first time trying with no comparison to other locations.
Overall, the experience alone is great!

First time coming here a week ago while on vacation. This place has very good food and the esthetics are cool as well.
When you step foot in this place there's no mistaken about where you are!!!
New Orleans!!!
This place is rich in culture, vibes are estheticly pleasing. The customer service I received was top notch. Prices are good and on point.
The place right on the corner so you can't miss it. There's so much going on in New Orleans I literally walked past it and didnt even realize it. When I came from across the street I looked up and was like oh shoot Beignets!!! I got to try it.
I was pleased with the 3 count order. These Beignets come in 3 counts. So if you're not starving 3 will fill you up.
They put a little too much sugar on top but it doesn't matter because they were that good. Next time I go I'll just say light on the sugar.
This place was packed when I got here. The vibes were definitely flowing. Everyone was in chill mode. Like I said the food was good and I'll definitely be back.
The jazz band was playing bout 30 minutes after I got there to serenade the crowd. I could've taken 100 pics of this place but I was too busy enjoying the moment.
You got to stop by and check this place out. Vibes flowing all throughout!!!
THANK ME LATER!!!
We were originally set out to go to Cafe Du Monde but the line was half way down the street and our Uber driver recommended Cafe Beignet so we decided on that instead. The line wasnt nearly as long but was moving extremely slow. The back of house seemed a little chaotic and disorganized. The beignets were delicious (better than Cafe du monde in my opinion) and the cajun bloody mary was bomb as well. We also ordered an andoulie sausage omlette (that could have been skipped - wasnt that good). They had tables inside as well as outside on the side walk and large open windows that gave the whole place an open vibe. Live music as well. Aside from the long wait time, it was a good experience.
