  I had the pleasure of having Irie as my server. She was absolutely amazing. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to pair a fantastic drink with my meal. She went above and beyond to make sure my experience was filling. Very polite and pleasant to encounter. Will definitely request her on my next visit!!

  My son and I stopped in for lunch while traveling through Metairie. We were greeted by a friendly staff and quickly seated. Then, our waitress, IESHA, took care of our every need. She was friendly and made great recommendations. She definitely made us want to stop in again soon!!

  The food was cooked to order. My wife won’t touch a steak that has any reddish color and that’s hard for a steakhouse, but they nailed it. Our server’s name was Brian. Unbelievably upbeat and courteous. It was refreshing to see someone that seemed to love what they were doing. This was at the veterans highway location. Thanks Brian!

  We visited Saltgrass to celebrate my son’s birthday with a party of six. The atmosphere was welcoming and our server provided good, attentive service throughout the evening. Unfortunately, there was a mix-up with our steaks - some that were ordered well done came out rare and vice versa. Despite this, we continued with our meal and had an overall decent experience. At the end of dinner, we mentioned the issue to our waitress simply as feedback. She was professional, reviewed our order (which had been taken correctly), and acknowledged the steaks may not have been prepared properly in the kitchen. She offered to get the manager, but we declined, thanking her for listening to our concern. We thought the matter was resolved. However, a blonde-haired manager then came to our table and asked what happened. When we explained the situation again, her response was surprisingly defensive. She stated they don’t make mistakes like that and suggested that if we wanted any credit or bill adjustment, we should have spoken up during the meal. This completely missed the point - we had no intention of requesting a discount or comp. We were simply providing feedback about our experience, which we assumed management would want to know about. Her defensive attitude and implication that we were looking for something free turned what had been a pleasant family birthday celebration into an uncomfortable situation. We left feeling like we were being treated as freeloaders when all we did was share honest feedback. The food mix-up was disappointing but understandable - mistakes happen. What truly soured the experience was management’s inability to simply acknowledge the issue and thank us for the feedback. A simple “I’m sorry that happened, we’ll make sure the kitchen team knows” would have been sufficient. Instead, we were made to feel like complainers for trying to help improve their service. I hope Saltgrass will use this as a learning opportunity about how management responses can significantly impact customer experiences.

  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Service from Ginny at Saltgrass! I had such an amazing experience at Saltgrass, all thanks to our incredible server, Ginny! From the moment we sat down, she made us feel completely welcome and taken care of. Ginny has the perfect mix of professionalism and warmth — she’s attentive without ever being intrusive and genuinely seems to love what she does. She knew the menu inside and out, gave great recommendations, and made sure everything came out exactly right. Every interaction with her felt so friendly and genuine — she went above and beyond to make our meal special. It’s rare to find someone who truly elevates your dining experience like that, but Ginny absolutely did. If you’re dining at Saltgrass, ask for Ginny! She’s hands-down one of the best servers I’ve ever had. Thank you, Ginny, for making our meal so wonderful!
