The truth is, you don’t become a Louisiana favorite just by putting the word “authentic” on your sign. When you’ve served Cajun meals as long as we have, you learn the difference between real food and a bland imitation, and our guests know it too.
Grilled, fried or on ice–there’s time cooked into every dish and time spent on every home cooked recipe, so that every aroma, every bite, every sip and every gathering is memorable.
We’ve spent more than 80 years creating a recipe for something much greater than a place for a lunch break or night out. It’s a place to share (or keep the whole plate to yourself), a place where you always have a seat ready at the table and a place where you’re always part of the family.
Many customers praised the attentive and friendly service from various servers, particularly highlighting Keke, Lizzy, and Nola.
Food Quality
While some reviews praised the food as delicious, others noted inconsistencies, with some dishes being overcooked or not meeting expectations.
Atmosphere
The restaurant's atmosphere received positive remarks, with many customers enjoying the welcoming and pleasant environment.
Value for Money
Several customers expressed concerns about high prices, particularly for cocktails, and some felt the portion sizes were small for the price.
Overall Experience
Overall, many customers had a great experience and expressed a desire to return, although some were disappointed with specific food items.

Actually got stood up for a date here, but decided to dine anyways. Middle of the afternoon on a Monday. Completely dead, maybe 3-4 tables. Ordered the Jacked up shrimp and seafood platter, with 2 draft beers. Total $70. The Jacked up shrimp was delicious and far more food than I anticipated. Bartender brought me some bread. Saying it's a must have with the dish, she wasn't wrong. Was a great appetizer/small meal. Buttery, cheesy, spicy, yummy. The platter was kinda meh. The shrimp, stuffed shrimp, hush puppies and fries were quite good. The catfish was a bit wet/mushy and a little fishy. Coleslaw was quite sweet for how I like it. And the ettouffe just wasn't good.
Service was very friendly and fun to chat up with. The only knock was when Dog the bounty hunter showed up, I kinda got forgotten about a couple times with an empty glass. I understand a celebrity of sorts will get some extra attention but it wasn't busy at all to be able to check back in with me a little sooner.
Cool part was as I'm walking out Dog and Francie both got up to catch me on the way out asking if they could get a pic with my bike. Ironically the bikes model name is MADDOG. Which is kinda perfect for the scenario.
Overall good experience, satisfying food and I like the vibe of the place overall. I'll be back to try other things on the menu

With some one as attentive, nice and sociable as bar tender Victoria is, really makes you feel like family and a friend makes you want to come back. I will definitely be back when she is working..
