  This was our first time here and we were so excited after hearing such great things! We are from Slidell and we’re in the area at the strawberry festival and decided to stop it. We order the brisket cheesesteak and the pulled pork platter and I’m so sad that the food was not that great. The brisket cheesesteak barely had any meat in it, that was their special of the day and came with no sides. The pulled pork was very dry and we were limited on bbq sauce since they only gave us 1 1oz cup of it. Thankfully the potato salad and sweet potato fries were good but I’m not sure if i would come back, they weren’t very busy and all the workers were at the host stand hanging out. I was really hoping the meal was going to be hot and semi fresh but I’m very undertaking that bbq is limited on freshness but expected a little better. Hopefully in the future we will be back in and it will be a better experience.

  My granddaughter brought me here for my birthday for the soft serve Margaritas. They were so good. Our server was awesome. Very attentive. Food was good except the Mac and cheese. If you like velveeta cheese you'll probably like it. I don't. The ribs were delicious. We sat outside so the kids could play. That's a very convenient option. We definitely will be back.

  I'm not usually one to leave a bad review or even call and complain, however this was the worst experience I've ever had...my family and I decided on your establishment to enjoy our Easter lunch and we walk in and was passed up by several employees with no acknowledgement...but we watched as at least 3 other families come in after us and was immediately pounced upon...it kills me to mention that my family and I are African Americans and the other families was white...I don't make habit of playing the race card but perception is all I have to go with. Needless to say we left and went else where. Considering I read some signage acknowledging God hanging in your restaurant it is clearly there for decor purposes only...I'm sure it won't matter but I will never visit Salty Joes again...

  Good was okay, not remarkable but still good, the waitress was kind but definitely scrambled, I believe she may have had too much on her plate as she was rushing between tables. She did wonderful with us though. Though the atmosphere was so incredibly loud, the music was so loud I couldn't hear the person next to me

  My husband and I went for the first time last night. He ordered the cuban and I got the mac n cheese burrito. Our waitress was very polite but only came to the table 3 times. We wanted to order more food but when she came back we were both done and ready to go. Food tasted okay nothing great but all was good and not bad. Portions are soooo small looked like the cuban was made on a bread stick with a tiny bit of cheese and the 2 smallest slices of ham and pork. Very disappointed. The plates are small and the burrito didn't even cover half the plate more like small wrap than what one would call a burrito. We would have ordered pork bellies and refill drinks but she didn't come back before we were done. Our ticket was 35.and change and we left 45 though this young lady did need more training on how to be a server we think is more of a lunch spot not dinner. Chairs are very uncomfortable and no private seating. May try again someday but not rushing back!
