  My first time here. The bartender ( ) was amazing. Very personable and attentive. I got the Shrimp Poboy combo. The Poboy was good, but the gumbo was amazing. Ido t usually get soup, but I'm glad I did, and will definitely get it whenever I come back.

  From Chicago passing through. Place has a great look and feel. It was Monday early afternoon so hard to gage service and atmosphere when you're one of only a few tables. Maybe a tad overpriced, but food and cocktails were good. Gator bites and crawfish etouffee were great. Our server Camryn was very pleasant.

  I drove down from Nashville, TN on business, all the way down i thought about some great Cajun cuisine from Don's Seafood. Got to the hotel placed my ToGo order and drove miles out of my way to pickup my order, it was $48 for one person I just wanted a little of several things, it has been years since I have been to Bayuo country. Asked the young lady twice if everything was in my bag, she said yes it was and enjoy. Drove back opened my bag reached for gumbo first (no silverware) hard to eat anything with no silverware! Went to the front desk, no help from them scoured my vehicle for fork or spoon, no luck. Try eating gumbo with a sauce cup, I had dumped out (haha). By this time all my food was stone cold the corn was raw, so you can imagine how the rest of my meal went. Sad Sad Sad. Never again Don !!

  The family and I stopped, on a Tuesday at lunch, on our way back from Gulf Shores. We had boudin balls for an appetizer and the fried and grilled seafood combo for meals. Most of the food was just ok. Except for the gumbo. It was some of the better I have had from a restaurant! The coleslaw had a very strong citrus flavor that was not to my liking. The service and atmosphere were great! The grill was visible from the table, which we really enjoyed! Nothing too amazing but we will try it again when we are in town.

  This review is from 3-12-26. Yesterday I had the pleasure to visit the location in Lafayette and was impressed with the food and service. I was staying in Hammond tonight and at first was excited to try the location here until I actually experienced this location first hand. Unfortunately the location in Hammond was such a disappointment from my experience last night in Lafayette. You can go to their page and read my review. My sever at the bar was Braylee. She seemed uninterested and paid more attention to the two women on the other side of the bar the entire time. I ordered the same old fashion from last night and it was horrible. I ordered the blackened redfish tonight and it was fresh but the whole atmosphere and experience took away from the food. This location had bad vibes and such a disappointment from my experience in Lafayette. Ownership needs to look into how the two are being run differently. Definitely won’t be back to the Hammond location anytime soon. See attached receipt for proof of being here.
